Setup WASTE

It goes like this.

You send me your public key, I add it to the server.

You take my public key from the top of my journal and add it to the section under Preferences called 'Public Keys.'

Choose 'add..'
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Copy and paste my public key into the Public Key Text box and choose 'Load key text'
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Make sure you have nothing entered under the Network/Password section of preferences.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Bring up the Network Status window, enter the ip address 66.185.38.4 in the address bar and click on the connect icon.

Viola, if you have port 1337 open on your firewall, and I've added your public key, you should be connected. Hit Alt-B to start browsing users and shared files.

deathburger: I'll give it a try when they can be bothered to get the client part working properly on something other than Windows.
fb-: Hehehehe...
fb-: Yummy.
fb-: I'm going to try it through VNC from a remote machine anyway.

fb-: Don't think so...
fb-: network name/ID/paraphrase:

test
fb-: Added your key, updated the ip and public key at the top. Should be working. No network name or pass.
Uhhh
fb-: Alright.. I guess it's all set and running. The info in the journal is correct. Just setup and email your public key.

I've got a couple of gigs of music on there now.
hrm
GhettoBodhi: it still just hangs on 'connecting'. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I'm not on my own machine, I'm on my babys mommas laptop, and it might have some firewall stuff I'm unaware of. I will re-try tomorrow nightish when I get back to p-town.

shigpit: I signed in too ... it's coming up as 'network down.'

You should have my private key in your gmail inbox.

Using it under WINE. So far seems to work, though it's hard to read the fonts (they're tiny).
HoneydewMe: Yeah. Wine uses your default font, but at a really tiny size. I have never figured out how to change the font yet.
