argh.
it's killing me that i can't figure this out.
but look at this....

Access to this web page is restricted at this time.
shigpit: Reason: The Websense category "Adult Content" is filtered.

URL: http://www.4815162342.com/
jones: that's weird. all it says is...

4 8 15 16 23 42
the secret will be revealed
shigpit: Maybe the software thought that they were revealing what's behind bras of different sizes. or something.

I didn't even know we had that software here.
deathburger: Or, if you prefer:

10 7 34 19 1 24
shigpit: Yes, that's another way to get to LF.

But i'll look at the numbers page from home. :)
FuzzyDave: Is this related to that show "Lost"?

Could it be a lock combination?
glitch p-udding: well, it's partially related to these (i think). but that's not the whole story.

ultrafastx: Yes, it is related to the TV show.
...
affiliate19: by assigning a number to each letter of the hebrew alphabet, the above combination spells the true name of god according to kabbalah.

no wait, that's the golden sequence as explored in the movie pi.

i like both the idea of a combo lock and number stations, but it seems to me that those would only be functions of a larger idea they're trying to convey with the numbers. i am relatively certain it will end up being a variant of the idea that each of the numbers correspond to some historically "cursed" event and that it is in fact a "curse of numbers".

regardless, they need to hurry the hell up and get on with the plot focus now that the character focus is done. it's driving me nuts!
________________
Maximillian Cohen: Something's going on. It has to do with that number. There's an answer in that number.
Sol Robeson: Hold on. You have to slow down. You're losing it. You have to take a breath. Listen to yourself. You're connecting a computer bug I had with a computer bug you might have had and some religious hogwash. You want to find the number 216 in the world, you will be able to find it everywhere. 216 steps from a mere street corner to your front door. 216 seconds you spend riding on the elevator. When your mind becomes obsessed with anything, you will filter everything else out and find that thing everywhere.

-pi the movie
jones: affiliate...i totally agree...
but we have 6 weeks before the next new episode. so...
wah.
affiliate19: I've picked up a television addiction again in the last 6 months or so. I went a good two years or so without even turning the thing on, then I started putting it on in the background while doing homework - just in the background!

I was hooked. My current must-sees:

Sci-Fi Friday lineup (SG-1, Atlantis, BSG)
LOST
24

I have to admit, I've also recently taken to House, and Alias, but they're not must sees. Yet.

We also grabbed the HD package with out cable company, and though the only HD channels we get are all documentary stations atm, that's fine with me. There are some AMAZING features being put on by PBS, National Geo, and Discovery... I've seen mummies unwrapped! I've been inside the wrecks of Spanish galleys! Stuff so educationally fascinating it's mind-numbing.

Or something.

Jesus. I gotta get back to the library.

You know, now that I'm thinking about it, there are four libraries in my city. Each one requires two forms of id to take out a membership. I only mention because you can take out up to 15 books at a time, and 16 non-book materials. Oh god. If you're late, the charge is .23$ a day...

Oh god...
