I'm posting this to my journal instead of the main board because it's in German.

Basically this guy invented a fictitious chess problem solving association, and got a grant of 6,000 euro to take part in an equally fictitious competition at the Athens Olympics. When he 'returned', his home town made him Sportsman of the Year. Then a real German chess problemist wrote to ask why he hadn't been invited to this tournament, and the whole thing kind of started to go pear shaped.
