well
blarp: even when i had a landline, i don't remember ever getting a pollster calling. now, i only have a cell phone, so i don't get any random calls.

Hell yes.
PAgent: As a registered 'independent' in Oregon, my wife and I have had to start screening calls with the answering machine. It's crazy.  
 
I hate the calls from the Reps and Dems, but try to answer pollsters honestly. That is, until I got an automated 'push poll' call the other day regarding the proposed constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage.  
 
"Are you planning to vote on ballot measure 37,which would add to the Oregon constitution a declaration of policy that only marriage between one man and one woman is valid or legally recognized as marriage?"

"How are you planning to vote on ballot measure 37?"
